Exhausted.
By The Dude | July 18, 2007
It was announced today that Dave Chappelle was hospitalized briefly over the weekend for exhaustion:

I have a few problems with this story. First, I don’t entirely understand the concept of being hospitalized for exhaustion. Just go to sleep. I’ve been exhausted, usually at the worst it makes me start to nod off at inconvenient times. It seems to me that if you have enough energy and motivation to get to an ER, you’re not exhausted. And even if you are and you still somehow manage to get to the hospital, what are they going to do for you? “Yeah, you’re exhausted, go to bed. Your co-pay is $75.”
Not to mention the fact that Dave Chapelle is loaded. If he wants to sleep, he can hole up in his mansion and kill a couple days just laying around in bed. What the heck is he doing driving to hospitals to get “treated” for exhaustion? He doesn’t even have to work. Just relax man, your’e rich.

They use the term exhausted loosely. “Exhausted” is a euphemism for “I’m so burnt out and have an incredible hangover that might actually lead to cardiac arrest”. Try feeling “exhausted” and have to go sit in a cube for 8 hours, not some ritzy ER with a bed.
